Sam joined GKWW’s Lake Geneva office in 2024 and brings over 10 years of diverse litigation experience to the firm. Sam has a substantial amount of experience in state and federal trial courts, criminal and civil matters, and as counsel for the plaintiff and for the defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Sam worked in a district attorney’s office prosecuting all kinds of cases with an emphasis on white collar crime, embezzlement, theft by contractor, fraud, and domestic violence cases. Before that, Sam worked in the civil litigation unit of the Wisconsin Department of Justice defending state employees and agencies against many kinds of claims, including primarily civil rights complaints. In the two years before that, Sam had the privilege of serving as a law clerk to the Honorable William C. Griesbach in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Sam graduated with honors from Marquette University Law School and received his bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison where he double-majored in Economics and Legal Studies. Sam and his wife, Alison, are both from the Lake Geneva area, where they now reside with their four children.
